WELT HIT II

Welt Hit II is an outstanding dressage performer with stunning movement, and an ideal temperament for international competition. Welt Hit II was Reserve Champion at the Oldenburger Stallion Selections in 1994, and in 1995 he scored 141.74 points for dressage in his Performance Test at Medingen. In 1996 he was Reserve Champion of the High Premium Licensing at the Oldenburger Stallion Selections. In 1997 and 1998 he earned the title 'Sire of the Future' at the Zwolse Paardendagen. In 1998 he was 6th at the Bundeschampionat in Warendorf for 6 year old dressage horses. In 2001 Welt Hit II won the Bronze Medal in the light tour at the Netherlands Championships, and after a fantastic season in the light tour he is now competing at Grand Prix level.

After he showed his first crop of foals in 1996, his offspring have been very popular with both breeders and raisers. Several were already sold for huge sums at the Vechta auctions in Oldenburg. Race, presence and movements are the identifiers of his progeny. In 1998 a son of Welt Hit II was Champion of the foal selection in Arnhem. Welt Hit ll has already more than 15 Approved sons. In the sport the progeny of Welt Hit II are beginning to make their mark. In 1999 a son of Welt Hit II won the Landeschampionat and Insa Hansen won the prestigious competition in Rastede with her Welt Hit II product in 2000, 2001 and 2002. In 2002 his son Weltissimo was very successful at the World Championship for young horses in Verden and also has several victories at Prix St. George level. In 2004 he was awarded VTV- Dressage Stallion of the Year. In 2001 there were no less than two daughters of Welt Hit II in the top ten at the National mare show in Ermelo. His daughter Rianke (Welt Hit II x Zebulon) took the title for 3 year old dressage horses in Varsseveld. In 2002 a son (damsire Cocktail) was 5th in the Championships in Den Bosch. In the VSN 2002 his son Saint Tropez was 3rd and is meanwhile Approved by the AES. In 2003 his son Welt Invest (damsire Investment) was second in the ability test for 3-year-old dressage horses in Varsseveld and in the year 2004 he won the title for 4-year-old dressage horses, 2nd in the VSN trophy 2003 and approved by the NRPS in 2004. In the autumn of 2004 at the elite auction in Vechta the Brilliant-ring “What a Joy” was sold for the price of 150.00 in euro’s. The daughter Riondine (Ferro) became Champion of the Hippiade Z2 dressage and the son “Still Here”  Vincent) won in 2005 the North Sea oil dressage competition Z1 dressage.

The Sire, Weltmeyer, was awarded Hanoverian Stallion of the Year 1998, capping off an elustrious career as both a riding horse, and one of the most influential sires of recent years. He was Champion of the Hanoverian Licensing in 1986 and Champion of the Stallion Performance Test in 1987, National Champion Three Year Old Riding Horse of Germany in 1987, and DLG Champion of 1989. Weltmeyer has sired seven German National Champion Riding Horses, namely Wolkenstein II, Wolkentanz, Welt Hit IV, White Star, Wildrose, Wittinger, and Weltburger. He has sired several Grand Prix Dressage horses, including Weserperle, Wallstreet (who competed for Australia in the Sydney Olympics), and the outstanding Weltall, who was a member of the Gold Medal winning German Dressage team at the 2004 Olympics in Athens. Weltmeyer has sired at least 64 licensed stallions, and well over 200 State Premium mares.

The Dam Cileste (sire Hill Hawk xx) crossed with Weltmeyer has produced 4 Approved sons. Out of the damline of Welt Hit II, amongst others, are the following stallions: Wolgatraum (by Woronesch) who performed very well in the dressage sport, Granilli S (by Grannus) who was 'premiehengst' (premium stallion) in Oldenburg in 1994 and Herannus (by Grannus) who is approved by the KWPN. This damline is based upon an 'Ostfries' foundation with an unmistakable Arab input.
