SANDRO SONG
What most people don’t seem to realise is that the
Dynasty did not start with Sandro Hit, it started
with his sire, Sandro Song. This is a stallion who
can jump as well as he can move and this is proven
in his scores for his licensing.
The remarkable sire of champions Sandro Song was
named Champion Stallion of his 1990 Approvals,
before completing an exceptional Performance Test
with a dressage score of 133.11, a jumping score of
124.55, and an overall score well in excess of 130
points. Then, in 1992, he was awarded the title of
Main Premium Stallion at Oldenburg, after producing
an excellent first crop of foals.
The dual purpose stallion, Sandro Song, is trained
to Grand Prix level in dressage, and is an inspired
showjumping talent, successfully competing in the
1994 World Equestrian Games. Sandro Song has
produced many champions in both dressage and
showjumping, perhaps the most famous of them being
the stallion Sandro Hit (World Young Horse Dressage
Champion Sandro Hit sired a large number of
successful progeny himself, including Poetin, Samba
Hit I, II, and III, Sir Donnerhall, and many more).
Another Sandro Song son, Sandro Star (Sandro song x
Furst Gotthard) was Champion of both his Stallion
Approvals, and his Stallion Performance Test,
receiving the overall score of 137.86.
Sandro Song sired the internationally famous
showjumper Herr Schroeder (Joachim Heyer) who won
the "Niedersachsen" Prize finals at the German
Classics at Hannover in 2001, the Reserve Champion
of the 2001 Stallion Performance Test at Redefin
Soveraen (Sandro Song x Aragon), the 2001 Elite
Verden Auction high price horseSong For Joy, who
sold for 105,000DM, and the international showjumper
Sundance K (Frank Sloothaak).
Some of Sandro Song’s other well known progeny
include the outstanding licensed stallionsSandro
Song Junior, Sarafino andSandor, and the great mares
La Traviata (Sandro Song x Ramino, and full sister
to Sandro Hit), Rusalka (Sandro Song X Lord
Liberty), Salsa (Sandro Song X Landor S), Samara
Rosenlund (Sandro Song X Donnerschlag), Santana W (Sandro
Song X Wolkenstein Ii), And Spanggaards Santiago (Sandro
Song X Masetto).
Sandro Song was bred by Paul Schockemöhle, before
being sold at a young age to Gestuet Bon Homme,
where he remains. |
