POKEMON

Pokemon is competing successfully in the 1.30 class with the Olympic Champion Ulrich Kirchhoff and they qualified for the Bundeschampionat 2002 where they performed outstandingly. The combination also competed successfully in the stallion competitions 2002-2003 and achieved a super 3^rd place in the 'Z' category in Zuidbroek. Pokemon has a very fine character and shows fantastic jumping scope. In 2004, Pokemon’s results were very good at the light tour in Affelterbach and Munchen. He came 4^th at the Big Price in Oldenburg when he, for the first time, was a participant of the Grand Tour.

Pokemon’s first offspring were born in 2002 and his son Vriend DDH (damsire Lauriston) became Champion at the foal inspections of the AES. The progeny of Pokemon express unanimously three excellent basic gaits, are long-lined and show a lot of race.

Pokemon is a descendant of the world famous Westfalen top producer Polydor, who has been so significant in the breeding industry. Polydor is not only the sire of many Approved stallions such as, Potsdam, Polany, Pikachu, Opium and Polydox but has also booked his success as the sire of innumerable sport horses such as Pamina with Otto Becker and later under V. Sozzi (Italy) and Pozitano with Beat Mandli. Pokemon comes out of a very interesting damline which has produced the Approved stallions Power and Wallenberg and the international showjumper Pirol of Lesley Mcnaught. His dam, Weinrebe, has also had an impressive showjumping career. Grandsire, Weinberg, is also the sire of the international showjumper Wum of Marcus Merschforman.
