MERALDIK
Meraldik is an elegant young stallion, with a
beautiful, expressive head, and quality gaits.
2006/2007 will be his first season at stud. After
completing his 30 day test in March 2006, with very
high scores, a bright future is anticipated for this
exciting young stallion.
His
Sire, Munchhausen, was Champion Stallion at the
Trakehner Approvals in Neumunster, as well as being
Champion of the dressage element of the Approvals.
He was many times a finalist at the German Young
Horse Championships, held in Warendorf, and was
Vice-World Champion at the 2001 World Young Horse
Dressage Championships, held in Verden. Munchhausen
began competing, very successfully, at Intermediare
I in 2002. In 2005, he competed at the European
Championships, held in Hagen. Munchhausen is
currently ranked 6th on the German Breeding Value
Index.
Meraldik is out of the great thoroughbred mare,
Herka xx, who is full sister to Heraldry xx, one of
the best thoroughbreds of the last decade. Herka is
also the dam of Royaldik, who was Champion of his 30
and70 Day Tests.
The
Grandsire, Hohenstein, who was awarded Premium
status at his Licensing in Neumunster in 1993, and
was Reserve Champion at his Performance Test in
Adelheidsdorf in 1994, with a total score of 134.05.
He won the dressage section with a score of 148.29,
and was awarded Dressage Champion. In 1999,
Hohenstein was awarded Elite status, and in 2002, he
was awarded Trakehner Stallion of the Year.
Hohenstein is by the legendary sire, Caprimond.
