LORD LENNOX
Lord Lennox began his showjumping career in
Switzerland under Andreas Ott. The pair competed
successfully in numerous events throughout Europe,
winning and placing consistently to Grand Prix
level, as well as competing successfully in several
World Cup events, including Ikast/Denmark, Cervia
and Modena/Italy, Falsterbo/Sweden, Madrid/Spain,
Lisbon/Portugal and Alexandria/Egypt. Lord Lennox
was one of the leading showjumpers in Switzerland,
and his success continued after his transition to
Germany. Lord Lennox's breeding career began in
Switzerland in 2000. The excellent type and high
degree of elasticity he passed on to his foals met
with immediate approval, and in 2004, his first son,
Loxy de la Resselle, successfully completed his
Licensing.
The Sire, Lord was Champion of the 1969 Approvals
and later competed in Advanced three-day eventing
under Herbert Bliicker. Lord sired the winners of
over 3 million euros, including Livius (Bronze Medal
LA Olympics, European Championships, 1st
Nations Cup Rome, Hickstead, Spruce Meadows, etc. 1st
Grand Prix of Rome, Ox Ridge Grand Prix, Grosser
Volvo Deutchland Preis, Everest Double Glaxing
National GP, etc.), America I (born Lord De Luxe, 1st
Grand Prix of New York), Indeed (1st
Upperville Classic, qualified for World Equestrian
Games 1998, 2nd USET Selection Trial
#5), Lafayette (1st Nations Cup Praha,
Hickstead, 2nd Gran Premio Citta di
Palermo, etc.), LUGANA 6 (1st Prei des
Kreisreiterverbandes, Parcours de Chasse, Preis der
Schultheis Brauerai, Volvo Royal Trophy, etc.),
Carroll's Belle (Ist Preis der Stadt Donaueschining,
]F~Iolmer~ Cup, 2nd Preis der
Volkswagenwerk, etc.), Pedro (1st Grand
Prix Mouton Cadet Biarritz), Top Seed, Lordon ,
Veperon, Tovia, Montanus Jump, Elmshorn, Ligorett,
etc. Lord sired 90 daughters and
60 Licensed sons.
The Dam, Vira, is a full sister to the celebrated
international showjumper Funky Town, who was ridden
by Gilbert Böckmann, Andreas Ripke, Thomas Frühmann
and Hugo Simon. Vira was sired by the grey stallion,
Fantus, who successfully competed to the highest
level in showjumping. Fantus produces strong,
performance-willing jumpers and was a very popular
privately owned stallion in Holstein. Lord Lennox
has, in the third generation of his pedigree,
Lorenz, who was, as with Lord, a highly successful
son of the thoroughbred stallion, Ladykiller xx.
Also in his pedigree is Koran, a well known son of
the thoroughbred stallion, Korenbleem xx. Lord
Lennox stems from the Holstein line 7020, which has
also produced theLicensed stallions Bugatti
Classique, Camparis, Cattaro, Chablis (standing at
State Stud Marbach), Concord (standing in Rheinland),
El Bundy (Performance Test Winner standing at State
Stud Celle) and the multiple Champion and Advanced
level series winner, Lucky Luke (standing in
Rheinland-Pfalz).
