LENARDO
Lenardo is a Westphalian stallion of modern type. He
has a spectacular jumping style and limitless
ability over fences. However, with his excellent
basic gaits, he is suitable for breeding top quality
horses ideal for both dressage and showjumping, as
demonstrated by his being awarded Overall Reserve
Champion of his 30 day Test, in Münster-Handorf in
2002.
In 2004, Lenardo won the Westphalian Championship
for five year old Showjumpers, and then went on to
be a Finalist in the Bundeschampionat. The following
year, as a six year old, he won the Kl.M/Kat. A
Showjumping Series, and is now progressing through
the showjumping ranks under his rider, Gerd Könemann.
Lenardo’s Sire is Lupicor, who won showjumping
classes in the Kl. A M Series, and is now competing
successfully in S class events in the Netherlands.
Lupicor is sired by the exceptional jumping
stallion, Lux Z, who had earnings in excess of 1
million DM, and competed in the Sydney Olympic Games
2000. Lupicor's granddam is the very successful Cor
de la Bryere daughter, Facordette s, who, among
other successes, Won Champion Mare of Europe in
Brussels in 1976.
Lenardo's Dam, Laica, is by the stallion Lancer II,
who was awarded Champion Stallion of the Holsteiner
Licensing in 1988, he then spent several highly
successful years standing at stud in Rheinland,
before returning to his homeland of Holstein in
2000, where his breeding success has continued.
Lancer II has sired many national and international
level competition horses. Also on Lenardo's dam
side, is the outstanding broodmare, Anita. Among her
successful descendants are the well known stallions
Landphoenix I and II, as well as many top
showjumpers and dressage horses. |
