STATUS QUO SEMEN
AVAILABLE FOR 2008/09 BREEDING SEASON
I am delighted to be able to supply the many
interested breeders in Australia with this wonderful
stallion's semen for this breeding season.
Staus Quo semen is looking great and his first and
second foal crops have been very impressive.

QUATERBACK NEWS
I have much news regarding the magnificent
Quaterback and his relatives.
This family is exceptional and needs no
introduction.
It should really go in International News but with
the Olympics at the moment it would be lost in the
mix, so I will put it here.
1/. Quaterback will NOT be participating in
the Bundeschampionat.
Although he has qualified to participate it has been
decided he has nothing to prove.
He also only finished covering mares on the weekend
of the 16th and 17th of August.
2/. Quaterback covered a total of 633 mares,
world-wide, in this last breeding year. This
includes frozen semen here and in the US. He is # 1
in the order of popularity of Dressage stallions.
3/. The Dam of Quaterback, Passionata, has produced
a full brother to Quaterback, Quaterback II.
By all accounts he is superb and is expected to be
as good if not better than his famous older
sibling!!.
4/. Poesie, the Grandam of Quaterback and the Dam of
Samba Hit I, II, III, IV, Poesie I, II, III, has
produced another colt Samba Hit V and is back in
foal to Sandro Hit again for a full sibling of her
famous children.
5/. Quaterback has had many embryo transfers
done with his semen, with a majority of them proving
successful on implant.
The full sister of Poetin I, Poetin III, has had 2
successful embryos taken and we await the foals from
this mating. They are due in May 2009

NEW STALLION FROM HENGSTSTATION BOECKMANN
Hengststation Boeckmann, the home of Quattro, De
Niro, Fidertanz etc have an exciting young stallion
on offer for Australian breeders this year.
His name is Quaterline
and he is by Quattro out of a De Niro mare.
Boeckmann's have a very high regard for this
youngster and his future looks to be very bright.

OUR RECENT TRIP TO EUROPE
We recently travelled to Europe to visit our
stallion stations and to view some of the foals by
the stallions we represent.
A fantastic time was had by all and we would like to
thank all of our hosts for their generosity.
Whilst there we were asked to represent a new
station, Heinrich Klatte.
At this station we were treated like royalty and the
stallions were wonderful.
Their new young stallion
Limnos is a firm favourite, as well as their
"old timers" Farewell
III, Doctor
Doolittle and
Gracieux.
It was a surreal experience to visit Klatte's and
not see Argentinus
in his box, but Nicci (the Aussie Stallion manager)
ensured that we took note of the last shoes he wore
and his name plaque, bronzed and in prime position
on a wall in the entrance to the stallion barn.
One of the main reasons for the latest trip was to
catch up with one of my favourite boys,
Quaterback.
I can honestly say that he is only getting better
with age and being a slow maturer, he still has some
growing and strengthening to do.
His foals are all very uniform in type and he
definately passes on his temperament and movement to
all of them. We saw foals out of many different
types of mares and yet they were all very much like
QB.

great job with Jackie.

They are really coming thick and fast now.

It is with much pleasure that I can announce that we
now have 2 pregnancies by Hilkens Black Delight in
Australia.
This has been a work in progress for 2 seasons now
and alot of people have been busy trying to ensure
Delli is successful here.
Much inuendo has been spread as to the viability of
Delli's frozen semen as his first season here was
less than successful.
There were many reasons for this, least of all was
the quality of the semen itself.
Delli's owner Sabine Meiners has done so much to
help mare owners who have purchased semen in this
country. This season, due to the bad press he
received here last year, she graciously provided
double doses of semen to mare owners. This means
that for every 8 straw dose purchased breeders were
furnished with 16 straws for the 1 dose price. This
has enabled breeders to, if needed, have double the
amount of attempts at achieving a pregnancy for the
price of 1 attempt.
This type of offer from a stallion owner is rare
with frozen semen and I would like to thank Sabine
for the opportunity she has given my clients.
I would also like to thank Tina Fielding for her
tireless, and expensive, efforts to obtain a
pregnancy from Delli. She has been trying since last
season and for her to finally get what she paid for
is just brilliant.
Last but certainly not least thanks must go out to
Seven Creeks equine Vets for there professionalism
and efforts where these positive pregnancies are
concerned. Seven Creeks are responsible for both of
the Delli pregnancies to date. I can highly
recommend their services for any of your AI needs.
