INTERCONTI

Interconti was a Premium stallion of the Trakehner Approval 2002 in Neumünster.

"Perhaps the last Approved Consul son, presents himself, because of his dam line of high breeding value, in noble Arabian-type outfit with a lot of beak and elegance. With his rather medium lines, he is by far not yet mature and impresses by his stance force and powerful movements of his hindquarters with good upper arm freedom."
(Conformation protocol Lars Gehrmann, breeding director of the Trakehner association)

His first foal year has already put him as sire into the limelight: all his foals are characterised by high nobility and clear breed type. They present themselves in the unmistakable habit of Interconti's grandsire Mahagoni. Interconti reliably improves neck and upper line. His offspring characteristically shows energetic and powerful movements combined with high suppleness in a natural balance. Altogether, his offspring impresses with high sportiness combined with a comfortable built. Only a small percentage of his foals are grey, Interconti mostly passes on dark colours as heritage of his father Consul.

The Sire Consul was one of the most important Trakehner stallions of post-war times, and distinguished himself as multipurpose sire of highest quality, which got him the title "elite stallion". His activities in Hanover warm-blood breeding were crowned by success, too. He is, for example, the maternal sire of the approval champion Don Frederico and the also esteemed Celle stallion Don Vino.

The Damsire Mahagoni is part of the "silverware" of eastern Prussian breeding. He sired, amongst others; approved sons such as Bartholdy, Bütow, Chronos, Eridanus, Goldtau, Inspekteur, Macon, Mahon, Peron, Ravel and Vivele Sauvage. In the third generation, the bay Kastellan followed which serviced only for a short time, before Pregel - son Primo became responsible for the grey colour in the fourth generation. Interconti is a descendant of the mare family of Ilona 75. The approved stallions Idahoe, Idol (in the Netherlands Jagermeester), Igor, Imposant (AUT), the national champion Induc (DEN), Ingbert, Inkarnat, Inox, Inster Gradiz, Irian, Irland, Irmin and Irwin (ARG) also come from this family.
