HERO

Hero was Approved by the Oldenburger Verband in 1999 and then trained as a dressage horse whereby he showed extreme ability. In 2001 and 2002 Hero competed successfully in the stallion competitions and was each time in the top three. He also won three qualifying proofs for the Bundeschampionat thereby assuring himself of a starting place in Warendorf where he once again made a big impression with a high position in the Small Final. In 2003 he was very convincingly Gelders Champion and he won the first proof of the 'Hippiade' in Ermelo. For the Fins family tree he was Approved in the year 2004 and during that time successfully used for the studfarm. Hero is now training for the higher levels of dressage sport.

His first offspring were born in 2001 and every one of them, were noble foals with a lot of race, presence and three strong basic gaits. The oldest offspring are now 3 years old and doing very well under the saddle. His son Uzy (mv Kennedy) came 4th at Varsseveld and one of Hero’s daughters made it to the end of the IBOP in 2004 with an 8 for all the dressage parts. His progeny must be seen and show a lot of promise for the future.

His sire Hohenstein (by Caprimond) is at this moment one of the best producers of the Trakehner Studbook. Hohenstein himself was Champion of the Stallion Selections in 1993 and performed in the sport at the very highest level and has many Approved sons such as Munchhausen and Harvard. In 2002, at the Stallion Selections in Verden, was a son by Hohenstein out of a Champion Donnerhall mare that sold to the US for the astronomical sum of Euro 515,000.

The dam of Hero is a daughter of the famous Weltmeyer, who with more than 70 Approved sons, actually needs no further introduction. His Grandam St. Pr. St. Akurate is also the dam of the Approved stallions World Classic and Life is Life (by Lemon Park). This same damline has also produced the stallions Caro Bube, Flamm, Franco and Alfur.
