GOLDWING
Goldwing won the stallion examination in Neustadt/Dosse
in spite of strong competitors. For character he
scored 10 for cross-country 9.5, for jumping 9, for
rideability 9 and for his motivation also 9. The
experts are sure that this stallion is very
interesting for breeding and for sport! His father
is the famous Goldfever - multimillionaire- and one
of the best jumping stallions with Ludger Beerbaum.
His earnings are now over 1 million euros.
Goldwing is the only Approved son of Goldfever
The sire Goldfever
is a handsome chestnut stallion out of Gundula (Galvano/Damhirsch)
and he was bred by Sigurd Hochmuth.
Approved at Verden in 1993, Goldfever finished
eighth in his performance test the following year at
Adelheidsdorf, with the good jumping index of
122.63. He started competing with Claudia Freise and
caught the eye of Ludger Beerbaum's sponsors, Dieter
and Madeleine Winter-Schulze, who bought him,
Initially ridden by Ludger's bereiter, Dirk Dahlmann,
Goldfever made his sensational debut at the
Bundeschampionate in 1997.
A string of good
performances at Berlin, Munster and Bremen followed.
In 1999 they were second in the Audi-Championship
and in the Grand Prix of Donauueschingen, won at
Walkenswaard, Berlin, and the took out the
Championship at the German Classics in Bremen,
beating World Champion, Rodrigo Pessoa.
Selection in the Olympic team for Sydney followed.
The Damsire, Lucarlo was very successful in jumping
at the highest level and he was a participant of the
Bundeschampionat for jumpimg horses. Lucarlo stems
from the popular Holsteiner line 18A1. In Goldwing's
veins there flows the popular blood of Carnival and
Farnese. Goldwing's grandmother Paola was also
successful in jumping. Goldwing’s dam line is the
same as the line of the famous mare Poetin.
The Grandsire, Grosso Z is highly regarded for his
versatile influence, given he produced the
international jumping star Goldfever as well as the
international dressage stallion Goethe. Grosso Z
earned a spectacular 148.85 points in his stallion
performance testing, given his wonderful basic
gaits, rideability and jumping ability. His
offspring's indisputable successes in sport have
given Grosso Z a dressage rating of 131 and a
jumping rating of 138.
