GOLDKAFER
Goldkafer’s Sire Goldstern sired no less than 35
Advanced showjumpers making Golstern a leading Sire
of competition horses today. Of his younger crops
Glorieux, the Oldenburg Champion Stallion of 1987,
German Riding horse Champion of 1988 and Reserve
Champion of the 1989 Stallion Performance Test is
without a doubt the most popular descendant. The
Approved Stallion Goldfurst has successfully
competed in Dressage up to Grand Prix level in the
US.
Goldstern's
sire, Gotthard was the most popular sire of
showjumpers in the seventies. .Ever since a
statistical record of progeny winnings was
established in 1975, he had been the leading
stallion for show jumping for 7 consecutive years.
Goldstern's Dam Sire Waidmannsdank is a guarantee
for rideability and today he exerts an enormous
influence via his daughters who produced Akzent II
and Gardeulan I & II. Goldstern is the GrandSire of
Feiner Stern, an impressive stallion.
Goldkafer’s Damsire is Freiherr.
After a convincing Stallion
Performance test as the best of the Oldenburg lot in
1979 Freiherr was awarded the title of Main Premium
winner in 1980, due to the assessment of his first
foal crop. He also produced Feiner Stern who is the
Sire of Feinbrand. Freiherr is probably the most
prominent son of the famous foundation Sire Furioso
II. Freiherr’s Dam Sire Agram and Ferdinand are the
basis the world wide reputation of Hanoverians being
the best showjumpers in the world. Freiherr is a
producer of both Dressage and Showjumping horses
that are capable of competing internationally.
Freiherr is regarded as one of the most influential
sons of the great Furioso II, the Selle Francais
Stallion imported to Oldenburg in 1968 Georg Vorwerk.
Freiherr’s Dam Almentanne produced two other
Approved Stallions, the full brothers Furst Agram
and Furi Agram. Her Sire Agram produced the
international showjumpers Anakonda, Abadir and Agent
(who competed at the 1976 Olympics with Paul
Schockemohle and went on to earn 130,000DM).
Freiherr won the Oldenburg Stallion
Licensing in 1978, the next year he won the
Performance Test and in 1980 he was crowned Main
Premium Winner on the basis of his first foal crop.
He has a number of outstanding offspring including
Weltwunder (Champion mare of her age group at Aachen
in 1986 and the Dam of Donnerschwee), the mare Love
Story, a DLG Winner, his Champion Stallion son
Feiner Stern and the Dressage star Flashdancer
ridden in to 6th place at the WEG in 1994
by the Irish competitor Anna Merveldt-Steffens.
