GODSEND DU REVERDY

Godsend Du Riverdy is a top modern stallion of breed, type and international capacity. He is a very rideable stallion with good gaits and a fantastic temperament. He already proved his quality in 2003 where he won the Danish Championship in jumping with Thomas Velin. In 2004 he started his international career and placed in the World Cup Grand Prix in Göteborg, Oslo, Helsinki and Leipzig. In Leipzig he was placed again in World cup 2006.

In 2004, Quidam de Revel topped the World Breeding Championship Jumping Stallion ratings for the second year running, establishing himself as the most successful living sire of jumping horses. With ten of his progeny jumping at the WEG in Jerez 2002, he was the stallion with the most number of progeny at this level.

Quidam’s international influence is noticeable with his offspring winning the German Show Jumping Championships and the Dutch Championships in 2005. Many of his older offspring are now famous including Tlacoc la Silla, an Olympic contender, Cirka Z, Eve des Etisses, Nabab de Reve, and Quibell, a contender in the prestigious $1 million invitational in Las Vegas. In 2002, ten of Quidam’s offspring competed at the World Equestrian Games in Jerez, Spain.

Jalisco B, Quidam’s Sire, also produced Quidam’s half brothers: Olisco, who competed in many CSIO for the US, Quito de Baussy, a world champion with Eric Navet, and Papillon Rouge.

During his competitive years, among many grand prix that he won, Quidam was first in the grand prix of Rome and New York. When Quidam was 18, he was still competitive showing in the Nation’s Cup of Aachen and others.

Quidam de Revel is a testament to France's systematic breeding program and the undisputed influence and success that certain Selle Français lines are having on the sport of show jumping. At stud since 1987, Quidam de Revel's sons and daughters have been competing in every international competition for a number of years. Most recently, they could be found in the starting line-up at the 2003 Budweiser World Cup Final and the 2002 World Equestrian Games (WEG) where no less than four of his offspring were competing including Prince de Revel, Quelle Damme van de Heffinck, Furka du Village and El Campeons Cirka Z.

Quidam de Revel carries proven jumping genes. His sire Jalisco B is one of the most influential stallions of his time. He produced numerous licensed sons who continue to be names that stand out in sport such as Quito de Baussy, Olisco, Papillon Rouge, Quel Type d'Elle, Surcouf de Revel, Sisal de Jalesnes, Vert et Rouge, Qualisco III, Reve d'Elle, Sherif d'Elle, Quite Easy, Quite Capitol, Quidam’s Rubin, Guidam and many more. His son Dollar du Maurier HTS de Seine led France to the gold medal at the 2002 WEG and individually, claimed the silver medal for Eric Navet. Other internationally performing offspring include Bianca d'Amaury, Coco Chanel Trefle, Darios V (Mark Samuel (CAN)) and Etoupe II to name a few.

Jalisco B is by Almé who carries one of the best performance lineages in France. During the 2002 WEG, 21 of the 92 show jumpers could trace Almé in their pedigrees. In the top 25 horses that moved on to the semi-final, nine were Almé descendants. Better yet, of the four horses that competed in the final, three had Almé genes: Liscalgot (gold), Dollar du Maurier (silver) and Utfors Mynta (4th).

The Dam, Dirka, despite being only 163 cms, won at international level with Nelson Pessoa, before being given to Xavier Leredde who made his junior international debut on her.
Returned to her breeder, Prince Amaury de Broglie, Dirka was bred to Sans Souci, to produce two international competitors, Orka and Paprika de Revel, then with Jalisco B she produced Quidam de Revel and the broodmares, Razzia and Sarah de Revel. With Jalisco’s half brother, Kisosovo, she produced CSO winner, Vallon Rouge, and with Narcos, Aiglon Rouge, a star in Holland. With Quat’sous, she produced Byra Rouge, and with Pappillon Rouge, Dirka de Revel.
Dirka’s dam, Ondine de Baugy produced five broodmares, and from them came the stallions, Sheyenne and Sioux de Baugy. Ondine’s dam Nadine produced five foals, all by Nankin. Troubadour B, won the 6 year old Final and jumped at international level; Uriel, the most influential national stallion of the Selle Français book, and star of the great St Lô stud; Commander, an international competitor for Switzerland; Daguet de Baugy, a CSI winner for Belgium, and Voulzie, the dam of Furiel de Baugy.
Quidam’s pre-eminence as a sire was confirmed at the 2002 WEG in Jerez, where he was the sire of more showjumping participants than any other stallion.

Quidam de Revel had an outstanding show jumping career himself. Under Hervé Godignon he won the team bronze medal and was fourth individually at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics. The pair finished 6th place overall in the 1991 European Championships and were part of many Nations' Cup teams and won the grand prix in Rome and Rueil Malmason.

Quidam’s pre-eminence as a sire was confirmed at the 2002 WEG in Jerez, where he was the sire of more showjumping participants than any other stallion.
