EXPOSE
Expose was 1st Reserve
Champion of his 100 Day Test in Neustadt Dosse,
2001. He is a stallion who excels in both dressage
and jumping, as proven by his excellent scores at
his Licensing.
His exterior and gaits are well above
average and his progeny are well received throughout
Germany.
The Sire, Exkurs's pedigree has the
advantages of the invaluable inbreeding component to
the great foundation sire Ladykiller xx through
Laertes in the fourth generation, who like Landgraf
I derives from Ladykiller xx. Exkurs derives from
Holstein bloodline 1947, which brought forth the
stallions Angriff, Cambridge, Coleo, Consens,
Cordani, Fanfar, Fridericus Rex, Frundsberg,
Grenadier, Lafayeur, Laredo, Lehnsherr GL, Leon,
Lorbas, Lucky Flight, Puma, and Quick Dancer I and
II.
Exkurs was promoted in dressage by Wolfgang
Schade following his successful Stallion Performance
Test and has already won intermediate class-A
dressage competitions. His change over to the
Netherlands also brought a new rider Sjonhje van
Kooten who is meanwhile starting with Exkurs in the
advanced class.
His sire Exorbitant xx captivates
again and again by his first class interior values
and his outstanding basic paces. Exorbitant's first
few batches of foals produced numerous Premium foals
in the Trakehner breed as well as in Holstein and
Hannover. Six sons have been Approved thus far, of
which five bear the Holstein brand and one the
Trakehner brand. His first progeny in competition
sport are successful in build up classes and are
proving to be diversely talented. His forebears that
include the damsire Caletto I, who was for many
years the most successful German competition sports
stallion under Dr. Michael Ruping, and his
great-grandsire, the sire of the century Landgraf I
in the damline, were veritable figureheads of
Holstein breeding.
The Damsire,
Landlord is one of the worlds top producers of
jumpers. He sired World Champion 1998 etc. Gandini
Lianos with Rodrigo Pessoa, and 5 horses on the WC
circuit. In Sweden, his jumping index is 144 (100 is
the average for 15,000 tested 4 yr-olds).His
offspring excel in type and are 1.6 " taller than
average.
