The Sire, Glorieux was winner of the Licensing in Oldenburg, Reserve Champion of the Stallion Performance Test (index 137.60) and attracted everybody's attention as Champion of the Bundeschampionat for German Riding Horses. In 1988 this captivating black stallion was honoured as the most successful three year-old German horse. With the results of his offspring in dressage and jumping classes he presented an outstanding foal in the Eifel-region in 2002.
The famous Gotthard in his pedigree signs for the jumping ability of Glorieux's offspring. Glorieux got top scores for all three basic gaits. They mainly result from the dressage ability of the dam line. The full sister of his grand dam was the most successful dressage horse of the famous Vollkorn xx.

On his dam’s side Rome carries the valuable performance blood of the too early deceased progenitor GrundsteinIi (Graphit x Sermon), who is well-known as sire of the international showjumpers Hendrix, Gambe, Gento and Ganymed. urocommerce rRome was bred out of Grosse Liebe. This daughter of Grundstein I produced, by three different sires, 3 Licensed sons in succession, Ghostwind (Godehard), Fortundatus (Futuro) and Rome (Glorieux). Grandam Luna (Landsknecht I) is also known as dam of the stallion Landkoenig (Landadel). This Hanoverian family also produced the Licensed stallions Feingau (Furioso II), Weissherbst (Wendepunkt) and Griseldi (Grosso Z).
