DON LAURIES HIT
This particularly beautiful and blood made son of
the very much appreciated German dressage horse
inheritor Dr. Doolittle is a special acquisition for
dressage breeding. Don Lauries Hit conducts the
blood of the absolute best dressage inheritors of
this time. His father, Dr.Doolittle, is a son of
Donnerhall, the best German dressage sire ever, and
the thoroughbred Lauries Crusador xx. With, as
grandfather the very interesting Trakhener stallion
Argument. Don Lauries Hit’s mother is a daughter of
two times World Champion Sandro Hit, from a mother
of Fugger, which is a descendant of the very much
appreciated stud Frusta II, and Arsenik. Don Lauries
Hit comes from the fine German mare-line "Schluppera"
which is a branch of the "Friedenkatzchen" line.
This line posseses much Trakhener blood which stands
out with al lof these fantastic dressage stallions,
Dr Doolittle, Donnerhall, Lauries Crusador xx,
Argument, Sandro Hit, Fugger, Frustra II and Arsenik.
The Sire, Dr. Doolittle combines the bloodlines of
the legendary Donnerhall, with those of Laurie's
Crusador, a breed-shaping Thoroughbred stallion
destined to play a primary role in warmblood
pedigrees. A dressage specialist with a shiny black
coat, Dr. Doolittle possesses three exquisite basic
paces and top-class rideability values. The blending
of two of the most significant dressage makers of
our day--Donnerhall and Lauries Crusador xx--support
this hope for even the most demanding. Argument, a
black Trakehner in the third generation, well-known
as the sire of the top dressage horse, Antony FRH /
Isabell Werth, adds special bloodlines. The dam line
is based on the mare, Jägerherz (by Jägersmann -
Lorlot). Dr. Doolittle is closely related to the
stallions, Acaro and For Paragon and also the 1980
DLG Champion Mare, Ascona (by Argentan I -
Seefischer). This performance-oriented dam line also
produced the sires, April-Scherz, Dagobert, Don
Vino, Gold Dollar, Rheingau, Servus, Vagabund, Van
Eyck, Van Gogh, Vasall, Volltreffer, Weinstock and
Westgote as well as the internationally successful
jumpers, G-Line and Werra 24 (both Nick Skelton /
GB) and Dünenelfe / Gerd Wiltfang and Luigi / Otto
Becker.
The
Damsire,
Sandro Hit absolved his stallion
performance test in Medingen in 1997 and in 1999 he
became federal champion six-year old dressage horses
as well as world champion juvenile horse in Arnheim.
He has meanwhile been trained up to advanced
class.Right from the outset, Sandro Hit set
standards not only in sport, but also in breeding.
His first crops of foals are convincing by their
exceptionally aesthetic imprint of type as well as
their outstanding motions. His son Sandrit was the
1999 approval winner in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern,
while Sommerhit was runner-up in Berlin-Brandenburg
and Sandro Ace became vice-champion in Oldenburg.
Sunny Boy in turn, was awarded a premium in
Oldenburg, whereas Sommeliere likewise belonged to
the approval Oldenburgers of 1999. In the year 2000,
Sandro Hit made the headlines once more: His
Brandemburg bred daughter Poetin won the Federal
Championship of Three-year old mares and geldings
under Hans-Heinrich Meyer zu Strohen. A number of
his offspring attained peak prices at different
German auction sites, including inter alia, his
daughter Starlet, who at DM 140,000 was the top lot
of the collection of broodmares at the 2000 Vechta
spring auction. On top of that, two Sandro Hit
progeny were awarded the desired status “approved”
at the Oldenburg approval, as well as at the NRW
approvals.
