DENARIO

Denario is a beautiful grey stallion, whose performance at his licensing was so impressive, that, not only did he win his licensing, but he also received a standing ovation from the crowd. His movements are all very balanced, and his high scores included a perfect ten for trot.

Denaro is sired by the black Donnerhall line stallion Denaro. In 2006, Donnerhall was officially awarded the title of "Dressage Sire of the Century". Donnerhall was born on the 30th May, 1981, on the farm of Otto Gartner in Holstein. As a weanling, he was purchased by Otto Schulte-Frohlinde of Stud Gronwohldhof, where Donnerhall remained until his death at the age of 21. In 1983, he was licensed, and in 1984, he completed his Stallion Performance Test, and was awarded the title of Reserve Champion, with an overall score of more than 130.0 points.
During his breeding career, Donnerhall  produced more than 80 licensed sons and 500 registered mares, more than 90 of which achieved State Premium status, as well as many top priced auction horses. He currently has over 250 progeny competing in Dressage throughout Germany alone. Some of his many successful offspring include DON PRIMERO (Outstanding sire, Federal Champion and successful Grand Prix competitor), DAVIGNON (Sire of champions, and a  multi-champion himself), DONNERSCHWEE (Top priced auction horse, selling for DM 220,000, 1993 Federal Champion, and, later, top Grand Prix competitor), HIGH NOON (Grand Prix Dressage mare), DREAM OF GLORY (Outstanding sire and Rideability Champion of his Stallion Performance Test, with an overall score of 146.06), DON GREGORY (Grand Prix star under Martina Hannover), DE NIRO (Sire of Champions, and Reserve Champion of his Performance Test, with a total score of 145.0), and DON FREDERICO (Champion of his Licensing in 1999, and Reserve Champion of his Performance Test in 2000, with the overall score of 141.04. He was awarded undisputed Champion of the Dressage section of his performance test with a score of 151.67).
