DAY DREAM
Day Dream was presented and approved at the körung
in 1995 in Vechta. He won his 100 Day test with an
overall score of 136 points. His dressage index is
145 points. Day Dream has been sucessfully shown up
to Prix St. George and was a placed finalist at the
Bundeschampionship.
Day Dream was the winner of the 1996 stallion
performance test in Medingen and of the 1998
Oldenburg State Dressage Championship. He
furthermore had a number of wins in dressage horse
tests up to and including intermediate class and was
a placed contestant at the Federal Championship. His
path of success led further upwards via the Prix St.
Georges level and Intermédiaire I. Meanwhile, Day
Dream has had placings up to Grand Prix. He was
moreover a finalist in the German Professional
Rider’s Championship of 2001.
Day Dream’s first two foal crops resulted in five
state premium mare contenders in Oldenburg, as well
as six elite auction horse, including Dream Rubin
(knock down price Euro 40,000).
Not only his sire Don Gregory, but also his
grandsire Donnerhall, as well as his
great-grand-sire Donnerwetter made history in the
dressage arena, which augurs well for Day Dream’s
career in the meanwhile fourth generation. Don
Gregory has presented a number of top quality
auction horses in Vechta, including inter alia, Day
Dream, the approved Don Dario Fo, Don Rubino and the
mare Dark Dream, who were all sold for six digit
sums. Dark Dream was moreover vice-champion mare of
the 1998 Oldenburg Elite Mare Show in Rastede.
Don Gregory’s latest successes include his progeny
Don Davidoff, the Oldenburg approvals winner of
2000, two-time federal champion and world champion
five-year old dressage horse, as well as Ferdonia,
the I-a diamond ring mare in Rastede in 2002.
The dam Cinderella is an especially significant
Trakehner mare who celebrated wins at championship
level (federal vice-champion under Miriam Henschke)
and always masterfully represented her population at
both regional and supra-regional shows through her
offspring. She gave birth to the auction mare Royal
Ballet, who was nominated for the Federal
Championship, as well as two stallion contenders for
the pure breeding of Trakehner horses. The sire Don
Gregory likewise has a large percentage of East
Prussian Trakehner blood pulsating in his veins via
Anteil and Humboldt. The maternal bloodline, which
is based on the Trakehner mare Gretchen 1018 inter
alia, also produced the approved stallion Roy Black
(by Rubinstein I-Donnerhall; South German riding
horse champion in 1995) and the grey Trakehner
Galant (private stallion Oldenburg).
