D’AMOUR
D’Amour took out the bronze medal in
the 2004 Bundeschampionat, ridden by Christian
Flamm.The 5-year old Oldenburg stallion D'Amour is
by Dream of Heidelberg x Plaisir d'Amour and was
bred by Heinrich Lampe and owned by Ulrich Vite from
Priestewitz, Germany. Flamm presented the black
stallion with much gusto. D'Amour danced through the
ring. The black stallion showed a delightful canter,
uphill and in the right beat. His trot was strong
from behind, through the back. "It's spectacular,
but "truly" spectacular, Hess said, explaining that
the horse was moving with excellent engagement and
looseness through his body. Flamm received 8.9 for
his finals' ride and landed in bronze medal
position.
The much talked about Dream of
Heidelberg was the material winner of the Federal
Championship riding horse test. This test is of
military origin and tests fundamental rideability.
In his stallion performance test he was third in
strong competition, and was reserve winner in the
rideability portion with a score of 138.32. He has
achieved several wins and placings in dressage
competition in "M" class. In 1997 he won the Future
Champions of Dressage class at the German Stallion
Championships at Euskirchen. Dream of Heildelberg is
currently competing in "S" level classes. His sire,
Donnerschlag, has been a top class sire for many
ears, has competed at Grand Prix level, and has has
earned the highest respect from breeders. His dam,
Zoliante, was a successful Dutch show mare in
Rheinland, and earned premium status from the
breeders federation. She produced many gold medal
foals, including Dream of Heidelberg II, Wallstreet
and Telstar. Second dam, Ramona, produced the
International Jumper Champions Eyecatcher and Ewald,
and was Broodmare of the Year in 1996. Dream of
Heidelberg has sired several gold medal foals and a
top-priced foal at the Vechta auction, at 40,000 DM
and in 2001 a foal brought 48,000 DM. Dream of
Heidelberg son, Dormello, won the best young
Oldenburg stallion at his keuring in 1999, and was
Champion and Reserve Champion in 2000. His second
approved son, Dream of Love, was Reserve Champion of
his approval. Several Dream of Heidelberg daughters
have achieved Premium status.
Plaisir d' Amour is a rising
international dressage star of stellar quality, and
has won or placed in many Grand Prix Specials during
2002, under regular rider Markus Gribbe. He was
ranked 32nd in the world in the BCM standings for
dressage horses as of 9/02. Three times he
participated in the Bundeschampionat, where he
advanced to the final. In competition in performance
class one, he was three times a participant in the
Dressursport competition. Under his regular rider he
has achieved many international victories in Grand
Prix, Grand Prix Specials and Grand Prix Keurs.
Plaisir d'Amour was a successful participant in the
World Equestrian Games in Rome 1998 and won the
bronze medal in the Swiss championship. He maintains
his peak form in competition while fulfilling his
stallion duties. His pedigree is of great interest
for dressage, he being a son of the wonderful
dressage influence, Pik Bube I. Miracolo xx is
consistently a transmitter of high quality
athleticism. With a dam by Furioso II, his
performance horse genetics are secure. Plaisir
d'Amour's foals are also performing well, with 75%
of his foals achieving premium status. Several of
his foals and riding horses have achieved top prices
at the Vechta auction. His daughter, Puppenfee, was
1b Brillantringstute of the Oldenburger elite mare
show in 1997 in Rastede and breed ambassador at the
Europachampionat in Brussels, 1998. The Plaisir
d'Amour son Paramount was in 1998 a finalist at the
Bundesreitpferde-Championat.
His sire, Donnerschlag is a son of
the already legendary Donnerhall and was
internationally successful in dressage tests up to
Grand Prix level. Dream of Heidelberg has an elder
half brother who already produced Dormello, a winner
of the stallion approval test. In the meantime,
Dormello has also convinced the breeders by the
quality of his offspring.
His dam Zoliante is one of the most successful mares
in the Rhineland breed and passed on her
unparallelled leg action to all her descendants. Her
daughter Goliante (by Telstar) produced Del Vento by
Donnerwind, an approved stallion tested in
performance class I. The dam’s sire Heidelberg,
raised in Holstein and an approved son of the line
founder Ladykiller xx belongs to the upper class of
Dutch sires. With Eyecatcher (ridden by Leslie Burr-Lenahan)
and Ewald (ridden by Emiel Hendrix), grand-dam
Ramona delivered two internationally successful
jumping horses. |
