Cordalmé Z
Cordalmé Z, ridden by Gilbert Böckmann, achieved
International success in jumping. He also achieved
recognition from the early years as an ideal sire
for jumping horses. In 2000, two offspring of
Cordalmé Z participated in the Olympic Games in
Sydney.
Exceptional
jumping ability is literally programmed in Cordalme
Z' s pedigree, each new generation presenting
further overwhelming procreators of show jumpers.
Two performance transmitters from French show jumper
breeding appear in Cordalme Z's pedigree as both the
sire and dam sire. Cordalme Z's dam Aleska Z is a
well proven brood-mare who also produced the
contemporary first class sires Royal Z I and Royal Z
II (by Ramiro/both private stallions Denmark). Royal
Z I was the 1987 stallion performance test winner in
Denmark and Royal ZII came third respectively, in
his approval and stallion performance test in
Denmark in 1988. Aleska Z did not only present the
most brilliant of a total of four approved sons,
Cordalme Z, she also became the foundation mare of
the Bockmann horse breeding programme. Mated with
Landadel, she gave birth to her meanwhile youngest
approved son, Landrover, whose breeding career began
in Thuringia. The maternal bloodline of Degengottin
(by Demant-Goldapfel), from which Cordalme Z
derives, also produced the renowned stallion Colani
(by Calypso II-Matrose-Glander, private stallion
Hanover resp. Bavaria).
Cordalme Z was awarded the I-I premium at the
1988 Oldenburg approval. Following his cautious
development in stages in show jumper classes and
federal championships lasting several years, he has
developed to one of the most successful stallions in
show jumping world-wide today. He has won Grand
Prix' and Nation's Cups (i.a. in Falsterbo), was
runner-up in the North-Rhine Westphalian Cup in Aix
la Chapelle in 1994, fourth in the Modena Grand
Prix, second in the German Classics in Bremen,
second in Kiel in 1996, fourth in Miinster in 1996
and highly placed in the German Masters in Stuttgart
as well as many other big tournaments. He was
moreover on the short list for the 1996 Olympic
Games in Atlanta.
Cordalme Z's
first batch of foals already brought forth an
approved and premiumed son, Corghano, who is
enjoying international successes at advanced level,
following a brief interlude as a stud horse. The
second approved son Couleur Rubin was likewise
approved and has proven to be a wonder show jumper.
He was undoubtedly the most spectacular show jumper
of the Federal Championships of 2001 and 2002. He
became vice-champion in the first year and a placed
finalist in the second. Cordalme Z's initial age
classes have already produced a number of
international show jumping aces including Cordijana
with Jos Lansink from Belgium, Calwaro under Martin
Dopazo (the Argentine) and the full-Westphalian-brand-
brothers, Careful 23 and Casper 30 with Andre
Sakakini (Egypt). Careful won the 2000
Donaueschingen Grand Prix and was runner up in
Spangenberg, whilst Calwaro came second in the
Wiesbaden Grand Prix and third in Spangenberg. Both
horses represented their sire at the 2000 Sydney
Olympics. It is important to mention here, that
these horses were exclusively ridden by foreign
riders and that therefore, only the prize money won
within Germany is taken into account in Cordalme Z'
s winning statistics. In 2000, Cordalme Z moreover
presented the current federal German show jumping
champion HGF Can Fly/G.
His
sire was the great sire of champions Cor de la
Bryeré. Cor de la Bryeré is one of the most
important stallions in modern showjumping. His
progeny have won over £1.5 million in prize money in
Germany alone. His International showjumping progeny
include San Patrigiano Corrode, Bockmans Cordalme Z,
VDL Corland, Cera 001, Bollvorm’s Chablis and Global
Concorde. He is also the sire of the international
dressage horses Cabaret, Caprice, Castello and the
world famous Corlandus.
Cor
de la Bryere was ranked 8th by the World Breeding
Federation for Sports Horses in the list of sires of
international showjumpers in 1995/96, and he has
many graded stallion sons around the world.
