CONCETTO FAMOS
Concetto Famos had an extremely successful career as
an international showjumper, before becoming a full
time breeding stallion. Under his rider Meredith
Michaels-Beerbaum, he was among the best in the
world, and highly successful in Grand Prix
showjumping events, World Cups, and the German Derby
for jumpers. Concetto Famos was selected for the
acclaimed Hanoverian Showjumper Breeding Program.
When jumping he shows an exceptional technique,
action and power, demonstrating near perfection in
all aspects. He has excellent conformation and is a
well-balanced stallion. He has a very good
temperament, showing great intelligence and
willingness to learn.
The first crops of foals by Concetto Famos have
lived up to all expectations, and are distinguished
by their athletic type, and correct gaits with a
very high degree of elasticity.
Concetto Famos was sired by Caletto I, who, ridden
by Dr. Michael Rüping, was one of the most
successful international showjumpers of the 1980s,
and a sire of numerous licensed stallions including,
as well as Concetto Famos, Camaro, Cantus, And
Cartusch.
The Dam is a Danish bred mare by Racot. Racot's
sire, Raimondo, was a successful son of the great
stallion Ramiro. Racot's dam was sired by the great
Thoroughbred stallion, Pik As XX. In the third
generation of Concetto Famos' pedigree is Islaender,
a brown Trakehner stallion from the famous Isola
Longa family. Islaender stood at the Trakehner stud
in Rantzau in the years 1963 and 1964, before
spending many years standing at stud in Denmark. |
