CAYETANO L
Bred with an emphasis on jumping, Cayetano L was
able to fully convince the horsemen who came to see
his first foal crop. His beautifully formed and
sporty offspring had exceedingly elastic and highly
productive movements – a quality he passes on that
the Westphalian Breeding Director, Dr. Friedrich
Maharens, found worthy of special comment:
"Beautiful faces with lovely eyes, well-formed
riding horse necks and the appropriate caliber were
generally found. Conformation is very much
influenced by the Thoroughbred elements in his
pedigree. Most of the foals have elastic trot
movements with an uphill tendency. The hope that
these foals will become good type, agile jumpers is
very justified." Several foals were accepted for the
auction collection in Münster-Handorf.
In 2004, Cayetano L received the record score of
9.38 for his jumping ability at his 30 day test in
Münster-Handorf. Cayetano L is a highly refined
young stallion who shows very good nerves and lots
of courage, unlimited ability, a very good technique
and a marvellous bascule over the fence. His very
first show season resulted in numerous first and
other places in tests for young jumpers.
The Sire, Candillo, who was active first in Holstein
and now stands in Denmark, has won many Grand Prix
under Thomas Konle. Candillo's sire, Cassini I (by
Capitol I) successfully competed in international
sport under Franke Sloothaak and sired numerous top
sport horses such as Cavalor Cumano who took 4th
place at the European Championships under Jos
Lansink/BEL, as well as Eurocommerce Berlin/Wim
Schröder/NED, Carino/Ulrich Kirchhoff, and Hofgut
Leiderbach's Ingmar/Pia-Luise Aufrecht.
Cayetano L's dam, Hanna V, is by Lavall I, an
international winning jumper for Denmark. The grey
Capitano found in the third generation was a son out
of Fritz Tiedemann's wonder mare, Retina, and
carries the valuable performance bloodlines of the
Anglo Arabian, Ramzes. Farnese in the fourth
generation is known for passing on correct
conformation, quality movements and jumping
potential.
Cayetano L is from Holstein line 754 which also
produced the Licensed stallions, Argent (private
stallion and advanced level jumper in Westphalia),
Cassis (State Stud Dillenburg and medium level
jumper), Catrick I (advanced level jumper) and
Catrick II (both private stallions in Holstein),
Condino (private stallion in the US), Ladinos I
(Holstein Verband, advanced level jumper) and Lonzo
(Holstein Verband) |
