CATOKI
In his very first
season in advanced level jumping, Catoki won several
competitions right away, including the Elmlohe
Youngster Tour. The season was crowned when he won
two advanced level competitions in Rastede under
Gerd Sosath which was rewarded with the "Oldenburg
State Champion" title. At the CSI in Hagen he
competed with international honors. In the years
before, Catoki had taken two excellent places in the
finals at the Bundeschampionat for German Jumpers
(2nd and 5th place) which is a strong recommendation
for him as a first class jumper.
He passes on his
strong type and ability to perform to his offspring
and when his first crop was up for Approval, the
outstanding Carrioco was awarded a Premium in
Holstein.
His sire,
Cambridge, had already begun his career in sport in
1993 when he won the title Vice Champion of 5 year
old show jumpers. He continued his career with
numerous wins and placings in advanced level show
jumping.
The dam's side of
Catoki's pedigree carries the Silbersee son,
Silvester, who made himself immortal by, for
example, the top international dressage horse,
Silvano (Ellen Bontje). This broodmare line which is
used to sucess is characterized by dams of stallions
in an uninterrupted sequence: Catoki's dam, Bilda,
produced Casco Z and the granddam, Vordula, is the
dam of the sires Lago and Laurenz (Holstein Verband).
The great grandam, Limburg, produced the Holstein
approval winner of 1982, Rocadero. Catoki is also
closely related to Chalan.
