CANNAVARO
A large framed Cordalmé son whose striking colouring
makes it obvious who his sire and grandsire (Pilot)
are. Pilot. Deportment, exterior and particularly
his interior values are good reasons for high
expectations. There seems to be no limit to his
ability and with the technique he has, this
youngster should find all doors in future jumping
sport wide open.
Cordalmé Z, ridden by Gilbert Böckmann, achieved
International success in jumping. He also achieved
recognition from the early years as an ideal sire
for jumping horses. In 2000, two offspring of
Cordalmé Z participated in the Olympic Games in
Sydney. His sire was the great sire of champions Cor
de la Bryeré. Cor de la Bryeré is one of the most
important stallions in modern showjumping. His
progeny have won over £1.5 million in prize money in
Germany alone. His International showjumping progeny
include San Patrigiano Corrode, Bockmans Cordalme Z,
VDL Corland, Cera 001, Bollvorm’s Chablis and Global
Concorde. He is also the sire of the international
dressage horses Cabaret, Caprice, Castello and the
world famous Corlandus. Cor de la Bryere was ranked
8th by the World Breeding Federation for Sports
Horses in the list of sires of international
showjumpers in 1995/96, and he has many graded
stallion sons around the world.
Cannarvo’s dam's pedigree further enhances these
traits. A classic Westphalian combination - the
millionaires Pilot and Weinberg speak for
themselves. Cannavaro's dam produced the State
Premium mare, Pricilla by Cordalmé Z, who was a
highly prized mare at the 2000 European Broodmare
Show in Brussels and has meanwhile placed in
advanced level jumping under the name Pikeur Chetami.
The dam also has two full sisters that are State
Premium mares - Pauline and Picaro - who are also
successful at advanced level. |
