BARRICHELLO
Barrichello had a very good 30 Day Performance Test
in Vechta in 2001 with a 8.06 score for dressage and
a 8.57 for jumping. In 2005 he won many M-classes in
Germany. In 2005 the stallion had several wins and
good placings in 1.35m and 1.40m classes with Bart
Bles. On top of that he finished 3rd in
the stallion competition Z/ZZ level in Weert and
Zuidbroek.
His first offspring are mainly dark coloured and all
have very good movement, type and charisma.
The Sire Burggraaf is a product of the successful Holsteiner formula Landgraf I
x Cor de la Bryere. Top breeding stallion Landgraf I
produced over 50 approved stallions and over 70
state premium mares just in Germany and heads the
German yearbook with the total winnings of his
progeny of over 6 million D-Marks. The dam's sire is
the famous sports horse producer, Cor de la Bryere.
He holds second place in the German yearbook with
total winnings of around 2 million D-Marks. From "Corde"
descend also over 50 approved sons and state premium
mares.
Burggraaf
was very successful in the heavier classes of the
National Stallion Competition, of which he won the
finals and six of the seven rounds. Later he was an
international showjumper with Roelof Bril; they
cleared the 2.10m during the puissance of Indoor
Brabant in 1991 and in 1993 they were reserve
champion of the 1.40 class for KWPN stallions.
Burggraaf
heads by far the Dutch showjumping index and has
several approved sons. International showjumpers by
Burggraaf include: Burggravin, Procops Dumbo,
Sublieft, Hevalietje, Jumper and Graaf. Burggraaf
also produces offspring with a lot of movement. An
example is the Grand Prix dressage horse Florijn of
Dennis Callin (USA). Also, Burggraaf has many
offspring who are star and keur, and many of his
mares have won national mare shows.
The Damsire Purioso has taken a very special
position as an absolute all rounder. He is the
founder of specialized show jumping and dressage
pedigree lines.
When he was accepted Purioso got the following
description: ‘Good ride typical stallion with the
height of 1.66 m. The space in movement is good, The
hind leg is a bit long’. Purioso was placed 10th out
of 32 stallions. Breeder is C. Beimforde, Hausstette
Germany out of an Oldenburg mare Alinda. His sire is
at that time the young (9 years old) Furioso II, who
may be considered as one of the founders of the
modern European sport horse breeding and who is
still influencing many studbooks in Europe with his
sons, grandsons and great-grandsons. You can off
course think of Voltaire and Concorde in Holland and
Fidelio and son Florestan I in Germany. Furioso II
(v Furioso XX, damsire Talisman SF) became the
symbol of the modern Oldenburg sport horse breeding.
Furioso II descends, just as Alinda’s sire Martell
from a Thorough Bred (Trebonius XX), Furioso II’s
origin is French and Martell’s is Holsteiner.
Furioso II produced 200 state premium mares and no
less than 68 approved sons, many of them are
rendering their services on other continents.
Furioso II has certainly influenced breeding on a
world wide scale. His full brother is the French
stallion Mexico, who’s son Le Mexico became famous
in Holland as a real jumping horse producer.
