ASKARI
Askari was Reserve Champion at the Bundeschampionat
in 2002, 1st Reserve Champion of the
Bundeschampionat 2003 and was Reserve Champion of
his Licensing in 2000
Askari received 152 points (76%) in the integrated
breed value estimation of the National Federation
(FN). In addition to his performance at the stallion
test and at horse shows, the results of six
performance-tested mares were recorded.
This
stallion is an amazing competitor and is proving
himself to be an ideal jumping sire.
Five of Ahorn's
progeny qualified for the Federal Showjumping
Championship in Verden in 1992, with Acord II
finishing as Vice Champion. His brother Acord I from
Ahorn Z’s first crop of foals was an international
show jumper in the Netherlands before being sold to
the USA. Notwithstanding this, he presented some
outstanding offspring in Germany from the short time
that he was stationed in Bavaria. In 1996 the
youngest full-brother Acord III was Champion
Stallion in Brazil. Acord II’s Dam State Premium
mare Ribecka was Champion mare of her age-class in
Holstein. She belongs to the bloodline of probably
the most versatile Holstein sire of the post-war
period via her sire Calypso I. The Granddam Gerlis
moreover produced the sire Chicago , whilst the
Grandam's sire is Lancaster, a stallion with a high
proportion of thoroughbred blood (combination of
Ladykiller xx and Ramzes), who was himself an active
show jumper. The Marder son Mandarin in the fourth
generation is out of an interesting Dam line, as his
Dam Holle was also the Grandam of Ramiro. Mandarin's
daughter Urbine is also the Dam of the Approved
stallion Freeman and Granddam of the association
owned successful show jumper and sire Aktionar, as
well as the international show jumper and successful
sire, Burggraf who is stationed in Holland. The Dam
line furthermore produced the stallions Acobat I, II
and III, Ladys King, Avero Bavaria Luchs, Catango Z,
Charisma, Silverstone, as well as Athletico (Celle
State Stallion).
Acord II convincingly won the Stallion
Performance Test in 1991 scoring 9.5 to 10.0 for
show jumping and 9.0 to 9.67 for rideability, and
was the 1992 Holstein show jumping Champion in Bad
Segeberg and German Vice-Champion in Verden in 1992.
He was moreover the most successful five-year-old
stallion in Germany with a tally of 21 wins. He
continued his sporting career winning intermediate
grade-A showjumping competitions and achieving
placements in the advanced class.
Acord II is much frequented by breeders from all
over Europe and has developed to a premium
hereditary transmitter. Numerous Approved sons
resulted from his first few years at stud, including
the Champion stallions of the Hessian Approvals and
the ZfDP of 1996. He furthermore presented the
Champion two-year old mare in Holstein in 1995 and
the best 3-year-old-mare in Holland in 1996. The
likewise Approved son Araconit who is covering in
Baden-Wurttemberg, won the Holstein State Riding
Horse Championship in Bad Segeberg in 1996 and was
Federal Vice Champion five-year-old show jumper in
Warendorf in 1998 and sixth in the show jumping
finals in Warendorf in 1999. Acord II progeny
moreover dominated the 1999 Jeral German Showjumping
Championship. He has sent no less than 14 horses to
the Warendorf show jumping tournament. Fourteen of
the thirteen placed six-year olds derived from Acord
II, including the Champion Atlantic (Ulrich
Kirchhoff). He is thus quite justifiably one of the
most sought after warmblood stallions of Europe,
since he disposes over and transmits attributes that
countless others can only dream about: nobility,
rideability and exceptional jumping values. His
leaping and bounding progeny made Acord II the best
sire of show jumpers according to the FN breeding
value rating once again in the year 2000.
The Damsire, Lavall II in his first year standing at
stud. Lavall II, a son of Landgraf I, has been, just
like his brother Lavall I, very successful in German
competition and breeding.
On his dam's side, he has the blood of the stallion
Calypso I (Cor de la Bryere), through the Holsteiner
mare Tramontana. Calypso I has been established as
one of the great sires of dressage horses, as well
as a sire of many international jumping horses.
Among these are Calando (ridden by Björn Nagel) and
Cabinett I (ridden by Dirk Schröder).
